I have now moved from the Autonomous Car project into helping Jed with his gyroscope project. It originally started trying to make a reverse pendulum (segway) that balances itself. After editing the code a little, and some help from Matt with finding a usable library, we found that the gyroscope we had could not hold a location in space; it would sense rotation then read zero once it stopped moving. The problem we face now is deciding what to do with said gyroscope chip; Mr. Bahn ordered two accelerometers so that we have a larger scope of possibilities, but Jed and I still have to decide exactly what we’re doing.
The drum project that Garret, Noah, and Jared have been working on sound amazing, and I imagine that we’ll be enjoying their creation for the rest of the year.
