This week I have mostly finished the AI that can pick the single best move out of any list of seven. My next bit of work I have to do is fix a problem with my current AI. The problem is the AI cant pick the best in the case of a tie and tries to pick every instance of the tie.

This week I started on working on the magnetic sensors being able to read with absolute value which works a lot better then before. I also designed a prototype for the object we were going to be using to dispense the chips. I have learned that we may need to add a few more tweaks to our idea or change our dispensing idea completely.

This week I have managed to make a program that can pick a random number between one and seven. Once that was finished I spent the rest of the week trying to make a matrix that will pick its lowest values first.
Connect4- Lily
This week we have started our AI Connect 4 game. Currently I’m in the process of creating new game pieces since the board we have doesn’t have enough and we would need to modify them for the computer to read the player’s pieces and moves. Next, I’m going to search for previously designed boards or design my own. I have also been looking for different materials we’ll need such as servos and analog hall sensors. Below is my in-progress design for the chips.

The week I have been researching the Minimax algorithm we want to use for the AI, as well as being the tie breaker between Adam and Lilly.
